If you’re a beginner archer, there are lots of considerations when choosing the best recurve bow for you. Choose a bow that is strong and sturdy and most of all easy to use. The SAS Courage 60″ Takedown Recurve Archery Bow is a great one to start with. Considered as one of the best recurve bows for hunting, this is definitely a must-have for both beginners and advanced archers.
The SAS Courage is another great beginner wooden recurve bow that has gotten great reviews by many archers across the board for it’s simplistic and reliable design.
It has a hard wooden riser with a fiberglass face. It also has the advantage of being one of the few takedown models that you can score for right around 100.00.
The SAS Courage is a great bow for those who are on a budget and can’t afford to spend over 100.00 for a takedown model while still needing something with convenient portability.
For the price-conscious, this is a big bang for the buck. You are paying for good quality wood material so this will not easily break.
Riser is made of Bintangor, Makore and Chuglam hard woods. Limbs consist of Maple and Makore wood laminations, and are faced with high strength fiberglass. It allows for great comfort, stability and more precise shooting with excellent arrow speed.
The customer reviews are also proof enough that the SAS Courage 60″ Takedown Recurve Archery Bow is worth a try.
I really enjoyed shooting this recurved bow. The 50lbs took me a while to get used to. I shoot 3x a week around 300 arrows total, this bow really held up with the punishment I gave. I bring it with me turkey hunting and pheasant hunting as well. The string still held tight, I know this because as soon as a pheasant flies up you millisecond to draw before its out of range. The 50lbs draw weights hits hard and I’m sure it’ll take down big game easily but I have not gave that a chance yet.- Rom Yous, Amazon Customer
This bow is fantastic for the beginning and amateur archer. Was difficult to string the bow without a bow stringer, but once it was set up it was ready to go. I did buy an arrow rest for it, as it doesn’t come with one, and I also had to buy arrows as well. What you see in the picture is what you get. The bow is beautiful and efficient. You’ll definitely have to buy some accessories for it, but it is still worth it. C.K. MacLeod, Amazon Customer
Take note though that this is only for right-handed archers. It also only comes in one size. These limitations should not stop you from getting the SAS Courage 60″ Takedown Recurve Archery Bow. All in all it is worth having as you develop your archery skills.
